Historical map of Oxford (2nd edition)

Based on a digitised version of the Ordnance Survey map published in 1876, the historical map shows the city’s main medieval and post-medieval buildings (lost or still standing in 1876) against the background of the city in Victorian times.

The map carries a gazetteer and illustrations on the reverse, introducing and explaining Oxford’s most important buildings: the castle, the colleges, and the great public and university buildings such as the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera.
